On March 30, two departments of the Mayotte Assembly exercised their right to strike in response to working conditions deemed unacceptable following Cyclone Chido.
On March 31, fifteen years ago, Mayotte became France’s 101st department.
On April 1, the first Local Committee for Victim Assistance in Mayotte was held in Mamoudzou. This body aims to strengthen the department’s efforts in the fight against violence against women.
