Hello everyone,
It is my pleasure to introduce this second edition of La Lettre M. Following the successful launch of our first issue, this newsletter is already becoming an essential touchpoint, helping you navigate our key initiatives and gain insight into the profound changes shaping our industry.
A World in Transformation
Last year, digital digital A signal is said to be digital if it can be represented by a series of discrete values that can be coded in binary as either 0 or 1. It is the opposite of analogue signal. Digital broadcasting has become the primary mode for television broadcasting, whether by cable, satellite, or even terrestrial. Find out more media crossed a symbolic milestone, surpassing three hours of daily usage. This achievement reflects both the remarkable growth of video and audio platforms and the irreversible shift of media consumption toward digital channels. As these ecosystems continue to converge, the need for common reference points has become increasingly critical. This is a global trend: the market is demanding measurement solutions capable of bridging worlds that were once siloed.
MediaReach
Following the launch of the MediaWatch editorial measurement service in 2025, Médiamétrie is taking another historic step to address the growing need for transparency. By the end of the semester, we will launch MediaReach.
This strategic solution will enable the measurement and comparison of advertising performance across a single framework covering linear linear This is when a live television program is watched exactly at the time it airs, in timeshifting (control over live TV) or private delay (personal recording). Building Trust
This launch strengthens our ability to address one of the market’s most fundamental expectations: building trust. The recent UDECAM UDECAM The Union Des Entreprises de Conseil et d’Achat Media (Media consultancy and buying association) connects the different players in the media and communications sectors. Its mission is: to defend the interests of its members among all market players, whether these are public, professional or interprofessional organisations. Every September, it organises Les rencontres de l'UDECAM (UDECAM meeting), when it brings together all of its member agencies and partners (media, companies and associations). Find out more Conference, which celebrated the association’s 30th anniversary under the banner banner On the internet, a banner is an advertisement, usually with an illustration that occupies a defined space on a website (called advertising space). Find out more of “TRUST,” highlighted this imperative. On that occasion, Yannick Carriou interviewed Thierry Breton on regulatory challenges, a topic that has an increasingly significant impact on our measurement activities. In an increasingly complex marketplace, Médiamétrie remains a trusted guarantor of neutrality and reliability.
Bringing the Industry Together
A project of MediaReach’s scale can only succeed through exceptional collaboration and commitment. We must demonstrate our ability to bring together our clients and committee members around a shared vision. The Cross Committee’s vote last October on the MediaReach indicators is a clear and encouraging example of this collective momentum.
The technical, scientific, and organizational complexity of this project, carried out in partnership with our stakeholders, is significant. Nevertheless, we are moving forward with determination: technical testing has already begun, and we will deliver on our commitments. I would like to warmly thank each and every one of you for your unwavering dedication to this strategic initiative.
I hope you enjoy reading this edition of La Lettre M.
