CSA

Conseil Supérieur de l'Audiovisuel (Higher Council for the Audiovisual Sector) – a regulatory body created in 1989 with the power to issue and monitor authorisations for audiovisual services by terrestrial channels, as well as the power to appoint presidents of the national programming companies. CSA became ARCOM, following its merger with Hadopi (High Authority for the dissemination of works and the protection of rights on the internet) on January 1, 2022.
