Netflix barometer: the films and series that appeal to SVOD users
In 2019, 5.5 million French people use an SVOD service every day. That represents an increase of 2.1 million within just a year! The top users of SVOD are new parents, single people and Millennials.
Which types of content do these new super-viewers prefer? Response with an extract of the top Netflix content, according to audiences measured in March 2019.
The comedy “Isn’t it Romantic” was rated number one in the Film category, both on mobiles and computers. “Riverdale” is the series that is most watched on mobiles and “The Order” was rated number one on computers.
With its new barometer dedicated to Netflix, the SVOD leader, Médiamétrie delivers rankings for the most watched films and series on computers and mobile phones. With a backdrop characterised by major economic challenges associated with the new media schedules, deciphering which films are the most popular, which series are watched as soon as they are put online or which French content is very well received on Netflix is key to better understanding public tastes and driving the editorial or advertising strategy.
